48 this morning in Yuma
Drove to Buckskin Mountain State Park between Parker, AZ and Lake Havasu City. They were full so we drove on a few miles to its sister Park – River Island State Park. We were lucky and got one of the last two sites available. Right on the Colorado River! We will probably stay through the weekend before heading back to Phoenix so Ellen can get her flight to Tampa on Thursday for Kathy’s wedding.
No internet available here but I’ll drive into Parker on Friday and try to update the blog with pictures. This is not a park with a lot to do, but both Parker and Lake Havasu are close, and the weather is perfect! We complained a lot on the start of this trip about bad weather, but we certainly have found the “sweet spot” of great weather here in South West Arizona
