44 this morning at City of Rocks State Park

We left today and drove South to Rockhound State Park just South of Deming, NM. Only about a one hour drive. We are staging here to make a dash into Mexico for some great Mexican food, cheap Crown Royal, and Ellen wants to do some gift shopping.

Then on to Las Cruces to see Sue Cobb. Then just heading East returning home.

We planned to spend some time in this area on our way West, but it was so cold and snowy we made a fast track to Arizona. Now it's great here! Same blue sky as Arizona, just a little cooler. We are going to travel north after visiting Sue as far as we can without getting into cold weather. Want to see Alamogordo and the surrounding area. We could spend some time here in New Mexico if weather permits or we will just move on. Nothing we want to see or do from here until we get to Florida so once we leave we will travel fast to the Gulf Coast before making a straight shot North home.
