34 this morning in Deming.

The rain stopped late yesterday and the wind ceased. It's still cold, but the sun is trying to shine. What a relief! Just north and east of here they really got a lot of freezing rain and snow yesterday.

No rain today but the wind returned. The sun was out a little at times, however, the wind kept it feeling at lot colder than the 45 it was today. 5:30 pm now and down to 39 on the way to a forcasted 23 tonight.

We drove the 35 miles to the border of Mexico. Parked the car and walked across for lunch. Came back across and stopped at the duty free shop for Crown Royal. THEY WERE OUT! Ruined my day. Last year I bought it at the same shop for $15.00/ltr. Had they had it, it was selling for $16.00/ltr. We will cross over when in Arizona and try again. I did buy Baileys for $15.00/ltr and Jack Daniels for $18.00/ltr. Stoli was selling for $9.00/ltr - less than Smirnoff which was $10.00/ltr. Unbelievable! There is a three liter limit per person to bring back into the US without paying duty - and no sales tax!
