31 this morning in Deming - AND HEAVY SNOW!

We are not going anywhere today. This weather sucks! We wanted to go to Tucson today but I-10 was closed until about 1:30 this afternoon. The snow stopped around 10:00 and it cleared a little. Temp went to about 34 and with a little spotty sunshine and high winds most of the snow melted.

We thought we would go back to Mexico but the road south was closed too. So we packed up the girls and drove to a nearby State Park (Rockhound) to check it out for our next time through. It's really beautiful up in the nearby mountains with a great veiw of the Deming valley area. The dogs enjoyed the opportunity to run loose. We enjoyed just getting out.

More freezing rain and snow in the forecast for tomorrow but we are leaving unless the road is closed again. There is sunshine and high 60's in Lake Havasu City, Az - We are going!
