Day 39, Sunday, Feburary 4, 2007

52 this morning

Warmer this morning and air not so chilly. Got to 76 today by kick-off - really nice! No chill in the air at all this afternoon. Talked to Brother Tim today and I guess we are about 76 degrees warmer than home. I normally would "rub it in", but I do feel sorry for all back home in that cold of weather.

We seem to be in a tiny pocket of warm weather and don't want to leave. However, our 7 day stay is up after tomorrow. We can stay right where we are at in this resort for one additional day only (Tuesday) as it's reserved after then, or we could move to another site and stay another 10 days. We are going to stay the additional day then head for the Imperial Valley area just north of Yuma. The Imperial Dam has created a reservoir there that is supposed to be quite nice, and the weather should be just as warm, if not warmer, than here so we are going to move on Wednesday morning.

Ellen has a hair appointment back here in Lake Havasu on Friday the 16th, so we will work our way north again before then. We plan to stay in Lake Havasu just a couple of nights then work our way back to Phoenix (Ellen flys out on the 22nd to be in Kathy's wedding on the 24th in Tampa) stopping at Alamo Lake State Park along the way. It's due east of Lake Havasu but we have to go south and east and then north to get there. It's about 40 miles from anywhere but they have water and electricity at the campsites and hopefully the girls will be able to swim again.

That's kind of what we are going to do the next couple of weeks, but it's always subject to change at any time -nice!

Colt's looked really great! Good game, terrible commercials!

Sister Beth, thanks again for your comments. We are happy you enjoy our travels.

Su-Be-Do, thank you also for your comment. You now have an idea of where we are headed from here. We are so close to California, but will not get there this trip. Come see us in Yuma!
